I think I have heard just about enough of this garbage! It’s true, I am definitely a Microsoft fan, but I am no fanboy. I admit that Apple comes up with great products normally, however this isn’t it!

I am referring to the iPad, Apple’s latest invention, or should I say reinvention as it is only a bigger iPod Touch! What an awful let down. So many possibilities and yet nothing short of a disappointment. Let’s not waste anymore time, I’ll cut to the chase.

The iPad and the iPod Touch only have a few differences, don’t believe me? Click the links and read the specs! Same everything except for the sizes, besides that they are the same damn product of the same damn brand. iPad is a cocky 9.7 by 7.4 inch device which dwarfs the iPod Touch by ~5 inches on either side. iPad has a resolution of up to 1024 by 768 while the tiny iPod Touch is only 480 by 320.

But what are the other differences? NOTHING! That’s right, nothing! This device cannot do anything that a tablet is suppose to do. It has a virtual keyboard, not a stylus so you can’t do handwritten notes, which isn’t terrible and it doesn’t disqualify it from being a tablet, but the virtual keyboard surely isn’t revolutionary anymore. It doesn’t support multitasking, and it requires the use of an additional computer to sync!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING APPLE!?

I was initially interested in the iPad, the pics look great and I was totally into the idea of having a tablet pc that could serve as an ebook reader and hold my music so if I wanted to I could go out and GET an iPod Touch and sync off of that, but no! This thing requires you to sync off of another computer, how absurd! This thing is an iPod and I’m not buying it! Have you seen the prices for this thing??? Absolutely absurd for such a blatant ripoff of existing technology!

Oh an word has it that although this thing is unlocked, it will not work on the Tmobile 3g network, and as you all know, I’m an Android user that loves the Tmobile 3g network so they got another strike against this from me…

I think what makes this so bad is the fact that the iPhone revolutionized the game, with a massive release, but this damn thing is far from a successor. It’s more like a pitiful sidekick lurking in the shadow of an awesome superhero, it’s just bad. I can safely say that Apple now truly believes that their user base will buy anything because of their status setting trends as of late. Honestly could the iPad hold a candle to what the iPhone has done?

Don’t get me wrong, there are a few cool things. I like the idea of being able to use apps on it, that will come in handy and will surely spark a lost interest in developers who wanted to work on something new. But now all Apple devs will need to rewrite their apps if they want it to look right on this nice big screen, though it all functions the same so what’s the point in using!? And furthermore what is the point in having the iPad if you can’t listen to music while talking on Aim?! How can this thing even be regarded as a computer?

The answer is simple, this is not a computer, it is an iPad… a huge let down. How sad is it that everyone had their hopes up for a netbook entry, another killer device to storm the technology world only for this?! No, I am not impressed, especially when the thing is only sporting a 1GHz Apple A4 custom-designed processor, which in case you were wondering, is only a step up from the iPod Touch 400MHz processor! Seriously, the iPad doesn’t even compete with the specs of a laptop!

I guess I am so let down because I thought this was going to be a tablet, a computer, but this is definitely not a computer. This is an over sized iPod and I for one do not want. And this isn’t the only thing that Apple has down to let me down in terms of products. Hopefully one of my douchebag friends will actually pay money for this thing and I can do a hands on review with it…But how do you feel about it?
