Windows Phone Series 7: Finally announced and release date set for November 8.
Steve Ballmer held a press conference today for the Windows Phone 7, announcing that there will be 9 phones coming out in November from Dell, HTC, Samsung, and even LG. They’ve been receptive to critisim and have decided to include copy & paste functionality (previously mentioned as not happening and unnecessary) in “early 2011.”
Full integration into the Zune Marketplace and Xbox Live user share will put Microsoft in a position to make a name for themselves in the smartphone war that they were devastatingly losing to Apple and RIM. Games look good, apps look good, Live syncing sounds awesome. I think Microsoft is coming out with a real contender.
